The new film from Warren Miller entitled “75” will celebrate the historic anniversary with emerging athletes and storytelling that will set the tone for the next 75 years.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Boulder, Colo. – Sept. 12, 2024 – This fall will mark the 75th anniversary of the Warren Miller film legacy. When the first film from Warren Miller debuted in 1949, it ignited a new genre of filmmaking for the snowsports industry. Today, Warren Miller films have captured the stories of skiers and riders from every edge of the winter world and continue to gather audiences each fall to celebrate the start of the season.
Appropriately titled “75,” this year’s film is the second installment in the two-year celebration of this momentous anniversary. Last year, viewers relived the hills, ski trends, icons, and innovators that defined winter sports for over seven decades with Warren Miller’s ALL TIME. This year, viewers can expect to discover new, rising talent and storytelling that focuses on the future of the sport with Warren Miller’s “75.”
“75” features entirely new footage filmed and produced by Warren Miller Entertainment, including five segments in collaboration with producers whose careers were inspired by Warren’s innovative filmography. Contributing producers include X Games host Selema Masekela and the Finnish-based production group Real SkiFi, plus Sherpas Cinema, Technically Doing It, and Framework. The production mix showcases a new film model that is both inclusive and forward-thinking while setting the tone for the next 75 years of ski and snowboard filmmaking.
"The film showcases a diverse mix of snowsports icons, Olympic hopefuls, and emerging talents," said Josh Haskins, Warren Miller producer. “It's unlike anything we've crafted before and is poised to ignite excitement and winter stoke in theaters nationwide this fall."
The 75th Warren Miller film tour will kick off on October 15, 2024 with a special World Premiere screening at the Boulder Theater, near the company’s headquarters in Boulder, Colorado. This celebration will include a street-festival style party and screening event on what would have been Warren Miller’s 100th birthday. With a nod to the founding father, the premiere will launch the nearly 100-city North American film tour.
This year’s film lineup features 10 all-new segments that will deliver 90 minutes of unbelievable action and unexpected stories. The film will take fans to powder stashes and chutes around the world, from Canada, Colorado, California, and Utah to Finland, Japan, Austria, and New Jersey. (Yes, even New Jersey.)
The lineup for Warren Miller’s “75” is nothing more than stacked, with top athletes like snowboarders Shaun White, Zeb Powell, Toby Miller, Danny Davis, and 15-year-old phenom LJ Henriquez, plus skiers Max Hitzig, Lexi duPont, Caite Zeliff, Aaron Blunck, Alex Ferreira, Cassie Sharpe, and many more.
The 75th annual Warren Miller film and film tour is proudly supported in partnership with Backcountry.com, High West Whiskey, adidas TERREX, Columbia Sportswear, Palisades Tahoe, Akova, and Nivis.

The second film in our two-year celebration of the godfather of adventure filmmaking, appropriately called “75,” is like nothing we’ve ever built before. With the first film (“All Time”) still earning accolades for its unique take on the Warren Miller archive, our teams are already traveling around the globe to capture footage from the future of skiing and snowboarding. Working with accomplished producers whose careers were inspired by Warren’s innovative filmography, we’re making a movie that will set the tone for the next 75 years.
Warren Miller’s 75
The lineup for “75” features 10 all-new segments that will deliver 80+ minutes of breathtaking scenery, unbelievable action, and unexpected stories. The film will take fans to powder stashes and chutes around the world, from Canada, Colorado, and Utah to Finland, Japan, Austria, and New Jersey. (Yes, New Jersey!)
As we start shooting, we’re buoyed by an upswell in industry support and record social growth from the success of “All Time.” And we expect to grow the Warren Miller audience even more, because we’ll be shredding with a star-studded lineup for “75.” We’ve assembled a diverse collection of snowsports legends (Daron! Shaun! Lexi! Selema!), world champions, Olympic hopefuls, X Games stars, and emerging talents whose tricks will thrill theater goers from coast to coast. Here’s the lineup …
Alpine Rhapsody
An homage to Disney's "Sorcerer's Apprentice", this segment tells the fantastic tale of a young skier who discovers a suit that contains the power to transform his skiing—a discovery that the suit's inventor is not pleased about at all. Alpine Rhapsody is set to an original score, developed in collaboration with the skiers and filmmakers, and recorded on the soundstage at Abbey Road Studios.
Skiers: Mark Abma and Noah Maisonet
Location: Mica Heli, interior BC
Producer: Sherpas Cinema
The LJ Henriquez Story
A snowboarder with an origin story straight out of an 80s action sports movie, Henriquez is a 15-year-old phenom from Brooklyn, NY who learned to snowboard on the indoor slopes of New Jersey's Big Snow facility, and has risen all the way to the Burton team with a bag of tricks riders twice his age needed the world's best parks to learn. In this segment, we're taking Henriquez on a bucket list dream trip for any skier or snowboarder: a Japanese powder fest. Surprise guests? Indeed ...
Snowboarders: LJ Henriquez, Zeb Powell, Selema Masekela
Locations: Japan, New York City, Big Snow
Producer: Selema Masekela
Perspective
The Finnish ski crew Real SkiFi are established as one of the most creative groups of skiers on earth. With the cities of Scandinavia as their stomping grounds, they've envisioned—and executed—segments in places people have never considered walking, let alone skiing. In Perspectives, they'll pair this creativity with novel post production techniques to create a series of ski stunts that warp reality and confound the audience.
Skiers: Juho Kilkki and the rest of the crew
Locations: Finland
Producer: Real SkiFi
The Transition
The path from competition success to backcountry freeriding is well ridden in skiing and snowboarding, but just because it's straightforward doesn't mean it's easy. This segment explores how three elite competitors— X Games gold medalists Aaron Blunck and Danny Davis, and two-time Queen of Corbets Caite Zeliff—have navigated the physical and emotional challenge of this transition, culminating in an epic heli trip where all three riders collaborate and influence each other.
Skiers: Aaron Blunck, Caite Zeliff
Snowboarder: Danny Davis
Locations: Revelstoke, BC; Chugach Mountains, Alaska
Producer: Framework
The Blank Slate
We’re sending Lexi duPont to the biggest blank slate imaginable: Skeena, a winter camping and cat skiing operation in far north BC. Her muses? Two of the best big mountain skiers on the planet.
Skiers: Parkin Costain, Lexi Dupont
Snowboarder: Toby Miller
Location: Skeena, BC
Producer: Outside Studios
Partner: Backcountry.com
Coming Down the Pipe
The future of halfpipe skiing can be forecasted in the tricks, but that only gets you a glimpse of the next winter or two. The real future of the sport is still learning how to pump a transition and which lodge has the best hot chocolate on the mountain. Follow Olympic and X Games halfpipe champions Cassie Sharpe and Alex Ferreira as they surprise the youth programs at their local hills to ski with the could be national teams of the 2034 Games.
Skiers: Alex Ferreira, Cassie Sharpe
Location: Aspen
Producer: Outside Studios
Partner: Columbia
One Up
When Shaun White, JJ Thomas, and Toby Miller gather at the top of the hill for their last run of the day, they all agree to keep it “mellow.” Except, between the living legend (Shaun), his coach (JJ), and the young comer (Toby), no one’s letting the other claim best trick, most stylish moment, or funniest burn on the way to the bar. What follows is a showcase of camaraderie on steeps, parks, and pipes … just elevated by some of snowboarding’s standard bearers.
Snowboarders: Shaun White, JJ Thomas, Toby Miller
Location: Park City
Producer: Outside Studios
Partner: High West
Going Massif
Ask anyone who follows the Freeride World Tour for the skier who best represents the future of the sport, and they’ll point you to Max Hitzig. Just a few years in, Hitzig has already garnered a reputation for seeing things in the terrain that his competitors don’t and doing things on that terrain that his competitors won’t. But behind this relatively unknown skier is a classic Austrian mountain boy who’s excited to show us his backyard: The Arlberg Massif.
Skier: Max Hitzig
Location: Arlberg Region, Austria
Producer: Outside Studios
Partner: adidas TERREX
Generation Next
Warren Miller isn’t the only legendary snowsports brand celebrating a 75th birthday this year — the mountain where he shot his first film is, too. So it makes sense that we’ll once again crawl across the storied big mountain proving ground of Palisades Tahoe, but this time with a twist: For every famous pitch—from the cliffs of the fingers to the chutes of the Palisades to the bumps of Red Dog—we’ll ride with two generations of rippers and see it through both old and young eyes.
Skiers: Connery Lundin, Daron Rahlves, Zach and Gael Williams, Ryan Ladd
Snowboarders: Jeremy, Cass and Mia Jones
Producer: Outside Studios
Partner: Palisades Tahoe/Alterra
Technically Doing It
We take it to the park with Luis Medearis AKA “Cuban Lu” and the Technically Doing It crew in Winter Park, Colorado for a spring shred session. The California-born former college basketball shooting guard learned to snowboard and started filming in 2020 fueled by the pandemic. Today, his crew is made up of the majority of the Black professional snowboarders in the world.
Snowboarders: Luis Medearis and the TDI crew
Producers: Luis Medearis (Cuban Lu) and Outside Studios
