Additional Information: Part of the class will be held outside behind Tannery Pond Center. Please wear appropriate clothing for the day.
The class will cover the following topics:
A Guide to plants that you can forage and the history of those plants.
Wilderness survival identification of seasonal foods, and preparation and tasting of foods that will sustain you in the wild.
Learning about and using different kinds of lightweight items to create a seasonal foolproof system and utilizing nature to survive in the wild.
Learning a basic fire method or two, time permitting, to help keep you warm and boil water and food.
Based here in the Adirondacks, Melanie teaches her Historical foraging knowledge and traditional survival skills to schools, lodges and groups all over America.
