What better way to relax and chill after a day on the slopes at Gore Mountain than with an early evening performance of blues, bluegrass and folk music in North Creek?
Adirondack and Upstate NY audiences know Keanen Stark and Orion Kribs for their authentic blend of modern yet classically authentic sounds: folk, blues and bluegrass masters.
Critics have said Keanen Stark (on guitar, banjo, harmonica) "is becoming a master of the old-time folk styles of Woody Guthrie. In the truest sense, a folk singer with a knack for cross-harp, his stripped-down, minimalist take on traditional folk music is sure to please."
While Orion Kribs (on mandolin, guitar) "is a world-class mandolin player capable of breakneck speed and nuanced solo work. Orion also played in the Celtic bluegrass band The McKrells and is an endorsee of Godin-Seagull guitars."
Both performers are talented lead vocalists; Stark and Kribs swap old-school folk, blues, bluegrass, and classic Americana tunes and dabble at entertaining endless other influences and flights of fancy.
