Founded in 1973 in the Glens Falls area, the Guild of Adirondack Artists has met regularly throughout the years to discuss art-related issues, to hold workshops and demonstrations, to plan group exhibits, and to encourage high standards for works of art while strengthening the rapport between the artists and the community.
As the group became larger and less centered in Glens Falls, the meetings were held in studios and homes on a rotating basis. That continues today with thirty members from Saratoga, Washington and Warren counties.
