Bob Meyers - Born in 1945 in the New York metro area, Bob grew up in a musical family. He discovered jazz around 1950 and drums three years later. He has been playing professionally since 1961. Among those he has performed with are Mal Waldron, James Moody, Gary Peacock, Kirk Leitsey, Stanley Cowell, Diane Schuur, Art Davis, Andy Statman, Perry Robinson, Bert Wilson & Judi Silvano, Nina Sheldon, Ratzo Harris, Cameron Brown, Denman Maroney, John Hart, among many others. He has toured extensively with Joe Lovano & John Abercrombie. He is on Joe’s Blue Note CD, Viva Caruso. Jackalope, a band with John Abercrombie and Loren Stillman on “Saltier Then Ever” on Challenge Records. Other CDs include Steven Frieder’s debut, “After Time”, the band alt.timers, Crispr (2017) and Martingale (2020) , Judi Silvano’s Lessons Learned [The Zephyr Band] released in 2019, “The Long and the Short of It”, Snap Dragon, the Duo Improvisations of Travis Sullivan and Bob Meyer (2020). 2021 to the present; Presenting Circular Jazz Trio/ Quartet and Quintet with Steve Frieder and Dan Blake, saxes, Luke Franco, guitar and Bryan Copeland, bass Both groups feature the music of the late, great Bert Wilson. Bob has taught drums for over 40 years both privately and as an adjunct at The New School and Lehman College in NYC. He lives in Cortlandt Manor, NY, USA with his wife Jody. Steve Frieder - An all-around talent with a compelling voice in almost any genre, saxophonist and multi-wind player Steve Frieder captivates audiences in jazz, pop, funk, rock, club, avant-garde, and free improvisation. Steve has established himself as a versatile, in-demand musician in New York and around the world. Steve Frieder's career has been marked by a commitment to pushing boundaries and exploring new sounds, all while maintaining a deep appreciation for the roots of jazz and blues. He graduated as the Valedictorian of the New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music in 2013. That same year, he showcased his talents at the prestigious Bern Jazz Festival in Switzerland, opening for McCoy Tyner. He has performed with notable jazz artists such as Joe Lovano, Jerome Jennings, Alvester Garnett, Bob Meyer, Kelly Green, Ratzo Harris, Jon Burr, Jim Cammack, Armen Donelian, and Marc Mommaas. He has been featured multiple times on Jack Kleinsinger’s “Highlights in Jazz” series in NYC. In 2020, he was featured on hyper-pianist Denman Maroney's record "Martingale". Whether on stage or in the studio, Steve Frieder continues to be a sought-after musician, impressing audiences and fellow musicians alike with his skills, passion for music and positive vibes. Bryan Copeland - Born in Abilene, TX.,bassist/composer/ bandleader Bryan Copeland spent the early part of his life growing up in the fertile farm lands of the north Texas panhandle. He lived his more formative years in Dallas and Austin, TX., surrounded by blues, folk, and country music. Currently, he resides in New York, where he uses his country roots, along with jazz and classical training, to influence his unique compositional styling. Copeland began studying the bass with world renowned classical bassist Satoshi Okamoto (New York Philharmonic), and has continued his studies with Larry Grenadier, Erik Revis, Drew Gress, and Harvie S. He received his bachelor’s degree in Jazz Studies from Texas State University under the tutelage of Dr. James Polk (Ray Charles writer/arranger). He has toured and performed with several artist that include Joe Lovano, Roy Hargrove, Matt Wilson, Ingrid Jensen, Camila Meza, Tim Warfield, Marcus Belgrave, Aaron Parks, Fabian Almazan, Jon Cowherd, Dayna Stephens, Rudy Royston, Kenny Wollesen, Jamire Williams, Marcus Printup, Frank Locrasto, Donald Edwards, J.J. Johnson, Adam Nussbaum, Steve Houghton, Ernie Watts, Ashley Arrison (Kelly Clarkson), and Toby Goodshank (Moldy Peaches). He has recorded with Jon Brion, David Binney, Radney Foster, Andre Heyword, and Aben Eubanks (Kelly Clarkson) Bryan has performed at Montreux Jazz Festival, Jazz a Juan in Antibes, Vienne Jazz Festival, Lion Jazz Festival, NYC Winter Jazz Festival, Jazz at Lincoln Center. As a student, he was named outstanding soloist at Addison Jazz Festival
Luke Franco - Guitarist Luke Franco purveys the rich tradition of jazz guitar by gleaning from the masters, both past and present. Formative years spent with John Abercrombie—his main influence and one of the great guitar innovators—led Franco to develop his own style and compositional voice. While pursuing a Doctorate of Musical Arts at the University of Miami, he was Teachers Assistant in John Hart's talented and ambitious guitar studio, and performed as a featured soloist with the award winning Concert Jazz Band led by Grammy winner Jon Daversa alongside guest artists including Gonzalo Rubalacaba and Alan Ferber. He was featured as lead guitarist at the world premiere of Michael Tilson Thomas’s “Four Preludes on Playthings of the Wind” along with the New World Symphony in 2016. Presently, Franco has been performing in the Berkshires, Hudson Valley and NY Capital region presenting his own music both as a leader and as an in-demand sideman, notably with the ADK Quartet led by veteran jazz drummer, Bob Meyer. As a counterpoint to his musical career, he and his wife founded Tiny Hearts Farm in Copake NY in 2011 and manage the 35-acre farm with their two young boys, growing cut flowers and playing music at the foothills of the Berkshire Mountains.
